The Seattle Wedding Show was held at the WA State Convention Center. There were over 9000 attendees and over 15 bakeries were showcasing their cakes. We were honored to be a favorite of many people including this gorgeous lady who happily went on camera to rave about us.

Topsy-turvy cakes-- All in white

We created these topsy-turvy cake for a big wedding at the Puyallup Fairgrounds on August 8th.
The cakes -most of it was carrot cake with cream cheese...yum!- fed 500 guests but over 1000 were in attendance. When we arrived, a huge mariachi band from Mexico was unloading their gear from their touring bus. Now that's one fun party!

I have to say you saved my bacon! The Twilight Cake you made was a homerun out of the park. My wife was completely surprised and was nearly brought to tears when she saw the cake. It was perfect in every way. The Red Velvet with White Chocolate Mousse tasted amazing. It was light, moist and not too sweet; the flavor and texture was incredible; it seemed to melt in our mouths. Perfect!

With less than 24 hours notice you guys, to me, accomplished the impossible; you delivered a stellar looking cake, that tasted great and more importantly you helped me make some lasting memories with my family and friends. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for finding the resources to get this done. I also want to thank Jennifer for the great advice and outstanding customer service.

Porto's Bakery in Glendale is the place to visit when in SoCal. This Cuban heaven of goodies is owned and operated by Margaret (below), her sister Betty and brother Raul. Great people, yummy desserts and savories. My husband David and I visited this bakery a couple of years ago and the sisters gladly gave us a tour of their facility and were completely happy to share their business experience with us. We truly appreciated their kindness and marvel at the business they have created in honor of their mom, Rosa. We make it a point to visit when we're in the area. I received my comment card in the mail yesterday and it reminded me that I wanted to send you a picture of our GORGEOUS cake that you made for our january 10 wedding. I gave you the image of the scrollwork that was on our invitations and other things and you recreated it on our cake. It was AMAZING! Everyone lined up to look at it and said that they thought it was fake it was so pretty. My friend who was cutting said she'd never seen a line for cake at a wedding before. And that doesn't even describe the taste! It was so good, I was so sad that I didnt' have more time to enjoy it. When we were cleaning up the next morning my friend saw a piece of leftover cake on a table and said she was tempted to eat it even though it had been sitting out all night because it was SO good! Thank you so much for making our vision come to life. It was incredible. Thank you!

We created this fall leaves and fruit themed wedding cake in November. It was delivered to Fircrest Golf and Country Club.
All the decor was
edible including
the fondant bowl.
Maizy made the
individual seeds of the pomegranate. Mary Ann created the mutliple layers of petals on the mums. I made the variegated leaves. A true team effort.
And it was FUN!

Dale Chihuly recently celebrated his birthday with a Celebrity Cake Studio cake! It was a marble chocolate mousse cake, iced with chocolate buttercream, dripped with Belgian chocolate ganache and topped with sugar fall leaves. He is our favorite artist and we were THRILLED to receive a signed copy of this recent book. Little did we know that he has been a fan of ours too! Needless to day, last Saturday was pretty exciting around the studio!

The event was terrific with lots of gorgeous food, delightful decor and friendly wedding and event professionals from around the country. Meeting Sylvia Weinstock, the Grande Dame of Cake Designers, was THE icing on the cake!
